So I sold out and
got a twitter. I'm not sure if I'll actually use it for anything other than watching much cooler people, but it's here. Does anyone else have a twitter? Would you like me to add you? Would that be cool? Is that what I'm supposed to do? WHY IS THIS SO HARD SOB.
Still working my way through Fire. I have about 100 pages left

omg, urgh, i know exactly how you feel sort of. re: fire. the story is just... it's told all wrong, and archer IS the best character, and everyone else is really annoying/frustrating/not... presented well. i'm actually warming to brigan a lot but that's just because i like daddies, and it's. I DO NOT ACCEPT BRIGAN/FIRE. i still don't know if that's where the book is actually heading? but it seems that way and just, NO NO NO. BAH. WRONG ALL WRONG. but the whole story feels wrong and poorly written and it makes me crazy, because graceling was written and presented SO well. this is just. i don't even know.
i miss archer and fire's relationship at the beginning of the book. i loved that. they really, really seemed to suit each other and suddenly i feel like, halfway through the book, fire is making up reasons to dislike him and pretending like they were there all along and just. :\ he loves her so much. and so well. jfc fire.

I also really love the Archer/Fire relationship too, and I understand the Archer is kind of a jerk about some things (like with his I AM SO JEALOUS OF EVERYTHING TO DO WITH FIRE shtick) and he does deserve some of the stern talking-tos Fire gives him (SOME, not all), and I really, really wanted Cashore to have them grow together and work through their problems and form a really good, mutual relationship, because it's awesome when couples grow into each other. But instead Cashore has taken the route of "Look how awful Archer is! EWW. EWW." when I don't really think he's all that awful ( ... )

but, fire. i still don't even know what kind of person she is and everything seems to keep changing and it's annoying and there's no driving plot to the story, everything just meanders but it's not interesting because the characters are inconsistent.

If it was just Fire with the guys I wouldn't mind, but the thing is, it's the entire cast. Like. Okay. (This is mildly spoilery but I'm not going to use names and it's not a major plot point, but if you want to skip it go for it.). Archer sleeps with a lady. The lady doesn't use birth control. The lady gets pregnant. She is not happy about this. AND THE ENTIRE CAST IS LIKE "ARCHER YOU AWFUL PERSON HOW COULD YOU EVER RUIN THIS LADY'S LIFE" which bugs the hell out of me because dude, both of them are responsible. I get it the Archer is kind of a twat about things, but it's not solely his fault that people choose to sleep with him just. WHAT IS THIS. (end spoiler).

DUDE when are you back? Also, not this weekend or the one after that, but the one after that, would you be free/want to do something? Slash would you be back in Hilliard? Slash I want to rent a boat with some friends and have a party one night, but I wouldn't be able to do it on a weekend. Would you be able to swing that? JENNY TELL ME.
