So I sold out and got a twitter. I'm not sure if I'll actually use it for anything other than watching much cooler people, but it's here. Does anyone else have a twitter? Would you like me to add you? Would that be cool? Is that what I'm supposed to do? WHY IS THIS SO HARD SOB.

Still working my way through Fire. I have about 100 pages left ( Read more... )

literature: ya is the way, life: listen to my day, +books, changes

well, i think you should read it anyway (or at least try) because it is.... interesting. clearly i don't have the highest opinion of it but i guess it also makes you think how it could be different? IDK, i still haven't finished and i till feel like i'm waiting for it to catch up.

i guess, if you can get it from the library or something it's worth it, but don't buy it?

Sorry to butt in, but I finished the book earlier this summer!

On the whole I preferred Fire to Graceling because I (for the most part) liked the protagonist and lots of the secondary characters. Archer shines very strongly in this book, and I feel like her worldbuilding was...slightly stronger in Fire than in Graceling? I'm not sure, it has its flaws, but I'd pick it up from the library and give it a shot. If you don't like it, just stop!

I'm not sure how I feel about Fire at the moment? Like, 100 pages ago I was at the "I LOVE THIS YOU NEED TO READ THISSS" stage, but now I'm back to "FFFF". I think it's definitely worth it, because what annoys me might not bother you so much? It's definitely dependent on different tastes. I think at the very least it's worth a try, but I wouldn't buy it.
