Almost everyone I know is either at Arisia or away at a concert. And here I am all alone in the Arse End of Nowhere (a.k.a. Melrose) and the Orange Line is TOTALLY fubar'd so I am stuck here. So if you're at Arisia and you're expecting to see me, I'll try another edition of Escape From Melrose tomorrow ( Read more... )

Ribbons! Alright, rhombicuboctahedrons, but still.

Here you can find instructions on how to build a world map projected onto various shapes. I enjoyed it, but then I am very, very nerdy, so it may not be for everyone. :)

Holy flarg! That's really geeky-cool. Thanks!

Oh, btw, I've been meaning to ask you. Would you mind if I e-mailed you and Welsh-picked your brain a bit? I have some questions regarding Welsh culture and political values, and I think you're the absolute best person to ask. :) After all, Ianto is a proud Welshman and I want to get it right for him. Please?

No problem. I love Wales very much, even if it does persist in raining on me.

Oooh! Thanks! I've seen the cat macros one, but the others are new and shiny and way cool!

A Tarot reading? You betcha! I can always use one. How do we do this?

Well, I can just lay out the card and let you do the interpreting, or I can add what I think the cards are saying.

I do a 3-2-1 pyramid best. The bottom layer of 3 is the starting point, the next two the layer representing a transition or journey to the capstone card.

Sound good?

That would be lovely, and I'd be very grateful to hear your interpretations.

*dances for Spider*

I'm currently learning what can be made with a slow cooker and a rice steamer because nursing school has me up to my ass in paperwork and I don't even want to look at food when I get home let alone prepare it. So, if I want real food for dinner, it must be made before I leave the house in the morning.

I'm also trying to figure out when I can work in my knitting projects.
