Almost everyone I know is either at Arisia or away at a concert. And here I am all alone in the Arse End of Nowhere (a.k.a. Melrose) and the Orange Line is TOTALLY fubar'd so I am stuck here. Well, I can just lay out the card and let you do the interpreting, or I can add what I think the cards are saying.

I do a 3-2-1 pyramid best. The bottom layer of 3 is the starting point, the next two the layer representing a transition or journey to the capstone card.

Okay, the first layer is what I think of as the 'where you've been' layer. Owie, sweetie.

The first card is the Nine of Pentacles, the Lord of Material Gain reversed. I'm seeing this as you being deceived and cheated - stolen from? Or someone stabbing you in the back so that they gained something you'd been working for? That or you losing something you'd worked desperately hard for and were devastated to lose.

Second card in first layer.

The Chariot. To me, this looks like you struggling back from the effects of the first card. You made a victory out of it - success, control of your life.

Third card in first layer:

The Empress, inverted. Financial problems. Lack of feeling loved, cared for or respected. Insecurity. Frustration. Being hemmed in? Some feeling of being constricted associated with this one.

Also a bit of conflict associated with this - some indecision?

Capstone card:

Eight of Pentacles, inverted. This gives me the sense not of using your abilities wrongly, but wastefully? Of selling yourself short.

This, though is coming right after the inverted Empress, so less waste and more of a taking what you can get until you're in a more advantageous position?
