Maybe they were OZMAFIA 4-komas? I don't think I've done anything short for Amnesia...? *cough* And I'd honestly say most of my skillz come from listening to Japanese fandoms for so long that I've heard a good number of the puns, idioms, and such already which makes it easier to apply that to new stuff that I watch/play. (That, and watching Gintama exposes you to just about every bit of language weirdness a fangirl could want.)

I'm guilty of just clicking everything/running through the usual psp button combos to see what it does when faced with a new game with a menu/instructions full of kanji. Sure you may make some weird save spots or accidentally install stuff. But it helps you get a feel for what you're dealing with. XD

If it helps... Hakuouki's translation sucked rather badly at points anyway. I give them points for effort, and I was really happy they kept the seiyuu in, but it just made if more obvious that Aksys went 'Wheee M! Let's sprinkle in the swears!' (....And, for all the research they did do, they still got Hijikata's

The Garnet Cradle art is so pretty too! It totally does the game justice! (And it's complete so I know what I'm getting myself into volume wise! XD)

The frustrating thing about the reposting, is that most all of the people I've encountered doing it so far were very polite about taking it down when asked. No,w I have a Russian group reposting/wanting to translate and re-scanlate my stuff and as soon as I said 'No. I only allow transcripts. You'll have to supply your own scans.' they suddenly don't speak English at all anymore. =.=0

But then, I suppose in Communist Russian scanlations scan you.

Hi! Nice to see you finally respond again!

Thank you for taking down my cover image that you had pasted your logo on. I'm still waiting for your partner at Diabolik Lovers 'Official' site to take down the scans they've posted. If, as you've implied, they have been ignoring your messages as well, then I'd suggest distancing your group from them rather than partnering with someone who wilfully posts scanlations that have been stolen from other groups.

If you've gone on to find real Japanese scans, congratulations, that should make your translations far more accurate. As I explained originally - I'm still learning Japanese so taking my rough, connotative heavy, American English translation and trying to change it to Russian would make it very difficult to make an accurate translation.

And I'll be perfectly happy to post an update on my Diabolk Lovers Anthology page once the rest of scans are down.

Thank you for showing me that my policy was outdated, I'll keep you in mind in the future.

I'm so sorry that there are jerks who didn't respect your wishes and reposted your scans, especially when you managed to have it up for so long without anyone breaking your trust before now :x also I find it hilarious that they didn't even bother to check that what they uploaded isn't diabolik lovers prequel I definitely understand how hurtful it is to have people rudely do things like this (I've had people steal my scans and repost them to places like animepaper/minitokyo for 'credits' before and that turned me off to sharing things for a long long while) and I hope that with your new system in place, people would be more respectful towards your wishes, and I also hope that maybe one day, when things cool down and people are less douchey again, you might consider making your stuff public again because your scanlations really are a good place to link friends to to get a glimpse into otome game canons that get comic anthologies or mini manga like PersonA

Geh, the credits thing sounds worse just because that's like making internet profits. I count myself somewhat lucky so far because everyone I've encountered reposting thus far has been very polite and understanding about taking them down. (And really, this whole situation could have probably been avoided, it just appears that the individuals in question were horribly offended to be caught with their pants down and, in trying to delete/backtrack, things have dissolved into name calling. I think I may have been called a goat. XDD)

I don't know about Mysteria, but there's actually a mini manga for Zettai Meikyuu Grimms' prologue that came with the PSP version's limited edition. Unfortunately I don't have that at hand (since I lost it while moving houses in the past year T_T;) I actually have Diabolik Lovers Sequel - Kanato, Shu and Reiji scanned though (since my friends and I were scanlating them for tumblr) and I could upload that copy for you for personal viewing for the moment if you'd like?

I'm also happy to hear that you're up for collabs! Likewise if you need anyone to QC/translation check or anything else, I'd be up for offering my services as well ♥

Er, I'd mean the English side of fandom was being understanding. The Russian thing has turned into a snarled mess. I was somewhat amused at her immaturity to begin with, but, belatedly did I see the 'Reposting as many scans as she can on manga aggregators' thing going on, now I'm less so to discover she chose to get 'revenge' for her perceived slight.

Drat, I'm usually stingy with what I pop LE makes me wish I'd ponied up for ZMG >.love to see scans for Sequel if you would be so kind as to share! I was really bummed that it sold out so fast. (All my favs in one place? Yes please!)

Thanks for the heads up. I wasn't aware of this AT ALL. Funny how everyone on the American side of the fandom has been very polite and respectful but one Russian would throw a bitch fit and ruin things for everyone. I'd half figured that I'd give it a couple months for her temper tantrum to subside and go the pdf route instead.

For the dialovers game translation wiki, it was taken down for a little while for people who didn't have editing privileges, and then brought back up to the public once it seemed like people had gotten the message. I can't say that it's the same with manga scans (since, well, it's easy to reupload those), but if this settles down, PDFs would probably keep a lot of people from spreading it around. But obviously that's your choice.

I wouldn't mind at all! I'll get right to it.

I remember reading a review of Jyuzaengi a while ago and thinking it looked pretty good. I have an eternal weakness for characters with unusual ears.

Garnet Cradle! I remember you scanlated a bonus chapter ages ago and it was really cute. I'm guessing the manga follow Saaliya's route with a few scenes from the other's routes thrown in?

Jyuzaengi is so good. I only played it initially due to the ear factor and Ishida Akira. But it's totally in my top five otome now.

...But it does look like the group in question is, slowly, continuing Jyuzaengi. So I'm thinking I'll go Garnet Cradle first and maybe only do Jyuzaengi quietly over here if they appear to stall. *cough* Plus that'll give me time to at least attempt to read The Romance of the Three Kingdoms before breaking down and begging our reference librarian for sparknotes XD;;

Yeah, for Garnet Cradle, the manga goes just about as you'd expect. (Almost frustratingly so because I'd thought there were a couple potential character interaction bits they coulda taken a moment to revisit/create but it was chugging through the plot fairly quickly.) And the little bonus chapter I did... doesn't appear to be in the manga itself? I'm sorta wondering now if it was just supposed to be an online reader exclusive.
