Romance Novels at Borders

Recently, I had the most exquisite lunch experience with an old friend, Janette Lee (lotuspetals). She's in the category of your high school friends who scored nearly perfects (if not, perfects) on various SAT exams, AP exams, PSAT exams, everything exams, was in marching band AND orchestra AND Model UN AND 90 other activities, and was admitted to Amherst Read more... )

HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAH OMGGGGGGG I see those nasty romance novels all the time but I never figured that a lot of them had a Scottish theme to them ("The Bride Wore Plaid" what the hell??). Have you tried reading them? It's so bad and funny the euphemisms they come up with.

Never knew they had a Scotland fetish as well, and I was totally thrown off by it.

I tried skipping through the book but didn't traipse across anything interesting, it seemed from the diction the female protagonists were maudlin and trite.

I am going to investigate further though, what the brouhaha may be.

Which euphemisms are you speaking of (?)

PS. All the characters had preposterous, PRETENTIOUS names, that were utterly WRETCHED.

Like broad lance, tumescent tube of fire, molten core, etc for the sex scenes. Some of it is REALLY bad.

You mean names like D'Arcy, Xavier, Marcellus, etc?

Who the hell writes these novels? And who actually BUYS them?? I'd be embarassed buying one of those books.

HAHAHAHAHA

the whole entire time Janette and I were fuckin bustin out laughing, and I was rolling around on the carpet...

the girls and guys who worked there kept walking by when they saw us and laughed along...

seriously, names like:

Viscountess Victoria Chastity Titicaca of Longshire, who is a virginal repressed girl under the strict rule of her father, but is kidnapped by a rogue named Lucas Russell Jefferson (of Jameson). Somehow, she is strangely and madly attracted to his roughness and "tames" him.

(vomits)

Ahahahaha! XD That's hilarious! "My Wicked Highlander"...that reminds me, my university's mascot is a Highlander, but instead of a man on steroids it's a bear with blue and yellow paint on its face.
