I love life when life loves me

Had such a wonderful day in so many aspects that I just can't help myself. Essentially, nothing huge or earth shattering had happened, but that just proves you that happiness is indeed in the little things.

First off, I saw my hairdresser in the morning for a hair cut. We had a nice chat, a few laughs, and I walked away feeling good and pretty on ( Read more... )

I work at a university, and I agree. Most of the faculty I've met have been witty and very friendly. I like working in Academia.

I'm glad about the vocal lessons! That's really neat.

I'm jealous. :) Must be a great place to work at. I meet the best people in academic circles. I also love teaching, so that makes it all the more tempting.

Me too! I really love singing, so this is really nice.

It's good to hear that you had such a great time, especially in the light of the latest events. Let there be more days like that. :)

I'm glad you had something nice come your way :D It sounded like life had been giving you a hard time lately.

Speaking of hairdressers, I need to get my hair cut >_< I don't want to get much cut off, just a trim. What kind of hair cut did you get?

Also, because I've been sick the past two weeks, I haven't been to the group classes either. It was really amazing to have the people there be so nice, asking why I was away and saying they missed me from practice. They really did warm my heart so much.

You're such a wonderful person I can see why everyone would miss you ;)

I guess it's one thing to experience intellectual heaven during your studies and actually being treated as though you are a part of it. There is this acute sense of self-importance and belonging (in the best meaning of these words) in discovering you indeed have that sort of worth. I don't know, it just really makes me happy.I've experienced something similar to this. When I was on my hospital rotations we worked closely with the medical students and the ( ... )

It isn't nice, but I shall deal.Losing two cats in two days got to me but I shall be good.

Had my hair cut really really short, shall take pictures.

You're such a wonderful person I can see why everyone would miss you ;)

Now, you are just being too nice. :)

I've experienced something similar to this. When I was on my hospital rotations we worked closely with the medical students and the doctors. Every now and then the doctors or the residents, not the med students, wanted our opinion. (The med students wanted our advice all the time XD). It was a great feeling of self-worth, like I actually knew something and was helping the patient :)

Awww, that's really great. It's just so nice, isn't it?

I'm so sorry!!! *Hugs* Your poor lil' babies :( Kittens are so energetic, so it must be hard for their mom to keep watch over them all the time. They're also so little and fragile. I'm sorry, I wish there was more I could say. Even though they were kittens, I know they had a special place in your heart. Is there any chance they might come back home?

By the way, how are little Mazsola and Picur? Punky keeps growing. He's about 11 pounds now and Neko is like 7.5 pounds. Punky is going to be such a big boy X3

Yeah, it was really hard. Because their mom abandoned them and I practically raised them myself since they were about three weeks old. So they really were a bit like my own little babies. I'm really sorry we couldn't bring them into the house (as I am horribly allergic to cats) so we couldn't watch over them all the time. *sigh*

These two were the most beautiful ones and my favourites. I think someone simply stole them. Wouldn't be the first time.

Poor Mazsola and Picur, they have grown so much and turned into such gorgeous cats! They got a bit ignored recently for the sake of the babies though. Surprisingly, they are awesome brother cats! They do cuddle and bath the kitties quite often, which is really great. They are really nice stepmoms.^^ I should definitely weight them one of these days, so we can compare. :P

*cuddles you and kitties*
