I worked under Peter Hain (metaphorically speaking) when I was with the Foreign Office. Didn't like him then, didn't like him now. I'm glad he didn't get a position of more power. He has good left-wing credentials and all, but he's very slimy. And not a little bit orange.

I had hoped that Hillary Benn would get it, but only because I read the Tony Benn diaries and was fascinated by them. Tony would have been so proud of Hillary if he'd got it, I'm sure. Not that he wouldn't be proud now of course, but you know what I mean. So, sound political reasoning from me there, haha!

Hmm I saw them all competing on Question time the other week, which was a good watch. Hariet was strong and ruthless as I watched and although she would perhaps make a good person as Deputy, she wouldnt be a person I would want to work alongside.

The other woman, was that Hilary, seemed very pelasant, determined but personable and very humane. I guess she got walked over?
