Here's a translation of something I wrote. How does it read? Anything clunky? I've had problems before with translators being too literal. I'm encouraged that he's translated the title, originally "The English Country House", as "Le manoir anglais", since he's clearly picked a phrase that means the same thing, rather than doing word-for-word

My French is far from perfect, but reading over the first few paragraphs it looks good. Nothing obviously awkward, and the content comes across clearly.
