oh wow! Take care of that foot! If you don't see the doctor about it, at least wrap it in a supportive compression bandage, keep it elevated whenever possible, ice it more today, then use moist heat after that -- and take some ibuprofen if you can stomach it for the pain and, more importantly, the inflammation

*huggles back* Was actually looking back at this in a moment of being all reflective on my track career and boy did this mess that up big for a long while! I partially tore a tendon in my arch called the flexor hallucis longus that made my whole arch collapse and that knocked me out of running for nearly a year and I'm STILL not totally back where I was though getting there!! The name flexor hallucis longus... man did I WISH I was merely hallucinating! =O To this day that was the absolute worst pain I've ever had from a sports injury.
I had a broken toe like a year later and if I had to repeat one of the two I'd definitely go with the broken toe!
Sounds like you're in the same foot boat as me, friend. I hope everything works out! (and I understand the embarrassment of being passed. I got passed by people walking up the subway stairs today. I wanted to crawl under a rock)
