The Shadow Knows, but I Clearly Don't

Look, I'm crazy swamped at work, and I'm sure you all have already seen this linked somewhere, but I thought I'd pass it along in case you hadn't.

There's this guy on YouTube who claims to be someone named "Steven" who needs "Veronica's" help at...wait, Hearst? HEARST IS NOT REAL, DUDE. Oh, this is a thing, isn't it? The end of the video links to ( Read more... )

Call you when I'm sober in your head? I don't... Ohhhh. Get it now.

The Hearst stuff is pretty funny. And btw, you never replied to my email inviting you to watch the VM premiere with me and jenelope.

Yeah, I didn't really expect you'd want to spend hundreds of dollars to fly to Michigan for the evening ... Ah well! Have fun with the huge TV. The friends with whom we're watching BSG have one, and it makes our own normal-sized TV seem ever so wee.

Hmm. Interesting stuff. You should read all of the posts. They frequently refer to attacks on campus "last year." spikeiterica recently gained a couple of anonymous comments signed "Liderc." According to Wikipedia, a Liderc is a kind of vampiric demon that sucks the blood out of people and makes them weak. Some comments on the You Tube vid had comments written in a similar style and signed with a more Latin-ized version of that handle.

It's an intriguing idea.

Oh, weird. Maybe it's some sort of Buffy/VM crossover! Heh.

I spend all day working on viral campaigns for the industry, and some of the stuff we do partnered with other sites (myspace, for instance) is similar-- if it's not a big roleplay community, it could be a studio thing.

Um. I don't know. Am I the only one who finds those journals vaguely (just vaguely) creepy? Or, I suppose a better word, would be "disconcerting". Yes. Disconcerting.

Are they associated with the show? If so, I hope they do a better job blogging than the "character" "blogs" for Grey's Anatomy. (Which are wretched.)

I don't know, I started to get goosebumps from those journals - the kind I got when I watched The Blair Witch Project.

No, some folks at RoL also find it creepy. But maybe that's the point? VM is kind of a creepy show sometimes!

I go with "unnerving" myself. It is kind of weird when you think about it. Especially when they talk about...well, anything.

Oh. Something you wrote in that post made me suspect you had, but I guess it was just a coincidence.

Hurry up. It's really good.
