The Shadow Knows, but I Clearly Don't
Look, I'm crazy swamped at work, and I'm sure you all have already seen this linked somewhere, but I thought I'd pass it along in case you hadn't.
There's this guy on YouTube who claims to be someone named "Steven" who needs "Veronica's" help at...wait, Hearst? HEARST IS NOT REAL, DUDE. Oh, this is a thing, isn't it? The end of the video links to a site that labels the vid as "Case Video #1," so maybe Veronica's on the job.
But, if you dig deeper, there's more! There are all these "Hearst students" commenting on the YouTube post! And some of them have LiveJournals. SOCKPUPPET MAYHEM. One of them, hearst_shadow, even replied to a comment of mine, which was kind of freaky. But they're all members of hearst_college, and even frickin' Dean (deanamatronix) has one! And there's someone named hearst_hottie whose "real" name is Kaylee, so that's...pretty hot. I haven't read everyone's LJs because there are a lot of posts, but they look hilariously authentic. They even comment to each other about going to see fucking Snakes on a Plane.
So whatever the hell is going on, it's very fun, and I can't wait to see where it goes. Maybe Steven will get stabbed in the neck with a pen.
Also, if you haven't, you need to check out vm_truthiness, because the Veronica Mars Fandom Threatdown is the best thing to come out of the fandom in MONTHS. WHY DO YOU HATE OUR TROOPS, KRISTEN BELL? WHYYYYYY.
