I can't choose among all my poetically miserable pre-cut bits, so I guess I will refrain. I wish I weren't this neurotic. I wish I could actually believe that something good lies ahead. Oh, whoops, that's not refraining.
Oh, were you away when all that happened? My office computer, my main laptop, and the new Netbook I'd just bought all got a hideous virus. My laptop (Cambelle, who you met) got it last, when I was able to immediately recognize the signs. I immediately ran bunches of malware and antivirus scans, because as the virus progresses, it blocks all virus and malware scans, and then it blocks all applications. But in those very beginning stages, you can still run things. So I did, and I MIGHT have fixed everything, but I don't know for sure. It's been weeks, and I still haven't been using Cambelle because I'm not in an emotional place right now to be able to deal with it if the virus manifests itself and I need to reformat the hard drive like I had to with the office computer and Netbook. So I've been using my Netbook at home (which is difficult to type on, and not the best with streaming video), and I've been avoiding pretty much any website that miiiiiight hurt it. Such as Megaupload, which has weird pop-ups and all kind of shady animated

I'm really sorry you got a virus. I live in fear of such things.
I'm a little split on Ted's decision re Jenn. Yes, he should definitely find someone who loves him for him. However, it's very possible to love someone for themselves and not find all of their quirks endearing. We know Ted will eventually find his perfect woman, but it seemed a little irresponsible to suggest that everyone would.
Also, I couldn't help but think that Jenn - as a woman - didn't have the luxury of time that Ted did.
I'm too cynical for comics like that. I imagine an additional layer of indirection, with the entire strip being a bubble in the author's mind while sitting next to a woman who is wondering what that dork is daydreaming about.

I loved the way all the guys were into Chewbacca and knew where the convention was. Hee!

I'm behind on Entourage and Dexter because of all the computer virus crap. I may just wait and watch both on DVD. Which is very frustrating.
