Dude, your gaydar is for crap. In no world was that guy heterosexual. It sure looked like that woman with him was his wife! They were very affectionate.
I'm pretty sure that was actually a very masculine woman. Seriously??
Those two clauses = understatements of the year. Hee.
I tend to prefer Amy songs to Emily songs for listening quality, but Emily songs have a great sing-along quality that's good when I'm riding in the car with my friends or my sisters.
So the last time (which was only the second time) I saw the Indigo Girls in concert the whole front section of the hall was filled with these folks who had apparently been following them around all tour and for one song they'd created hand motions to go with the chorus. It was easily the dorkiest thing I've ever seen at a concert.
Yeeeah, this was definitely the dorkiest concert I'd ever seen. Like I said to Rachel, my music people weren't dorky!! Then she said my television people were, however...and I had to agree.
Amy's songs are dark and in minor key, and Emily does the pretty, happy ones. I deduced that I only knew Emily songs. I liked Emily songs because they were pretty, but I dug the Amy songs I heard live as well.
It seems like a crime to me that this is the case, because Amy's songs are so much better. Did they get fair billing in the playlist?
An Indigo Girls concert wouldn't be my scene, but I'd love to hear a heavily rocked out version of "Touch Me Fall".
I've seen them more times than I can estimate (I know that I stopped counting after 15), including when they were touring Swamp Ophelia, and I've never heard them play Touch Me Fall.
I think Sunil's right, they played mostly Emily songs. FWIW, most of the songs that people think of as "Indigo Girls songs" are Emily songs.
Also, I remembered the story I forgot yesterday. The Indigo Girls played with Joan Baez at one point, and Joan Baez's (exceptionally, seriously, very very hot) son was helping set up Joan Baez's piano while the Indigo Girls were on stage, and Amy sort of ogled him and turned to the crowd, and said, "huh, maybe I'm not gay after all."

I am not assertive, so I didn't say anything, but Rachel is

I feel like most were Emily songs, but of course I wouldn't be the one to ask.

I know, and I think it's a shame. Excusing the gratuitous Beatles reference, it would be like everyone thinking that the Beatles were Paul McCartney.

Also, I hope she doesn't Google her name and "San Francisco" very often because...hey, how you doing, girl?
