May this lowly one suggest "Lilac City" by nwhepcat, simply for three reasons?

a)It beautifully written
b)It's terrifyingly dark (consider the first book, with Xander-the-recovering -alcoholic)
c)It was my first real encounter with Buffy-fiction, and as they say, one doesn't forget ones first love. And yes, I'm willing to worship the ground nhwepcat treads upon, for that fic alone. (Not that her other fics are bad.)

Yes, 'Lilac City' is definitely one of the good ones, and she's written a lot of other good stories, although there are a couple that I don't like.

But why did you write it under an assumed name? And go as far as attending a convention as that fake identity, and even causing a kerfuffle there? Isn't that carrying the creation of a sockpuppet a little too far?
