With an amazing thunderstorm, Seattle's summer has ended. Yes, I know it's not fall yet but for all intents and moisture we've lost our sun. I find I don't mind. I enjoyed the thunderstorm thoroughly; even the part when zagumus and I were silly enough to stand out on my metal-covered balcony and watch the lightning strikes. If only people in Seattle were less passive. That's an eco-riot waiting to happen.

No shit. I know in my heart of hearts that it had little to do with security and an awful lot to do with the $2.50 bottles of water they could sell the crowd inside. :P

Gots a similar issue at my work: We have genuine Metrolink-issue bottled water for crew use, available on ice in coolers for anyone who works outside - but we're not allowed to put them in the recycling bins because the recycler is an outside company and they would be making money off of Metrolink property (the bottles). So we have to throw them in the trash.... *sigh*

Would that that were true..

I think last night's storm and today's rain are just a temporary pause.. looking ahead, I see some more summer weather on the horizon..

I, for one, will be very glad to see it go.. Come on rain and cool!

a)hurray for thinderstorms
b)when the first big rain hits, it doesn't stop raining. I am not please as I hate walking in the rain
c)I like games where the more realisting the roll(meaning who +what vs other roll) better than having to be strict with the book/rules.

There were more dice rolls actually than I had planned there to be. I much prefer to let the narrative indicate a lot of results rather than letting the dice do it.
