Glee reaction post

I haven't been motivated to write an episode reaction in a long time, but the one complete sucker punch scene from last night's Glee makes it really hard for me not to. So spoilers within; as always, YMMV, this is just my read on things.

I wish it had ended there, because I just don't see this going anywhere good, especially given the writers' track records, *sigh*

Separating it into two shows sounds like an excellent coping mechanism.

I remember seeing your spoiler spec on Tumblr -- I've been thinking along very similar lines, and pretty much all of the outcomes involve something I'd never have predicted 'Glee' would tackle a year ago. I keep wondering if I should react as if it's an absurdist comedy with hints of black humor, like it started out and sometimes still falls back on, or melodramady 'issue' show, which it seems to want to be, but really can't pull off, especially when the characters still consistently burst into Katy Perry or the B-52s (and I dearly love their Katy Perry and B-52s, heh).

I desperately want to believe that they won't make whatever happens to Karofsky All Kurt's Fault, but Karofsky's already planted all of his past misdeeds and what progress he's made squarely on Kurt's shoulders -- I can see it happening too easily. And dear lord, if any of this ends up playing into Kurt sticking around Lima next year...? GAH.
