Ugly sound is 80% gone. I think the other 20% is coming from a bad sway-bar mount on the same side. If there was no difference in the noise level after all that work, I'd probably have beaten the car to death with a hammer.

And the best part? No alignment required. The car still tracks straight and true. Score! (I hate aligning cars.)
