1) I need to catch up on the Snowflake challenges. I'm probably going to talk about due South for some of it, but IDK, I think Xena could use a bit of a boost from me

It's good to keep busy. I need to be more productive in the fandom, but work and study keep me busy. I haven't written anything in years. My muses are NOT happy with me and sometimes wake me up and two a.m. with cool ideas for a fic just to torture me. :P
I'm really sorry to hear about Taddeus, though. I know how much it hurts to lose a pet. My sweet weirdo Dido passed on in 2018 and sometimes I'm still struck by grief over it. I've got two sweet new kitties that are helping me heal, though Kaylee, the old grump, isn't very fond of them. Here they are soon after they got home. They are now bigger and not quite as sweet with each other, but this is one of my favorite pictures of them.
Ah, the revenge of the fic-muses, I know it well. *nods* And yes, carving out more time to write and be active in fandom is a challenge the older we get. It's one of the things that makes me happy, so I do my best to make space for it.
Thank you for your condolences, and I'm so sorry to hear about Dido. I know she was something special.
Your two kitties are adorable, and I'm glad they can take up new spaces in your heart! I've still got Pomegranate, and I hope she'll live a long time yet--she's thirteen-ish now, I think? Still being a queen and a brat as she chooses. :)
Writing did give me joy, but I was never a fast writer so it took many hours of my time. Who knows, maybe I'll find the way to carve out the time to finish a couple of my old unfinished stories anyway

I am so, so, so sorry for this extremely belated response!
Writing is hard, and I know what you mean about it taking so much time. But even with all the stress, I do love it when I can get the words flowing.
Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear about Dido--I'm sure she was a sweet and dear friend. Taddeus had feline diabetes and also a thyroid disorder, and even though I tried medications nothing worked.
Alexander and Mermelada sound absolutely lovely, and I'm glad you have them with you!
