The green in his suit vest stands out brilliantly against his pale, pale skin and that shock of white hair. Kate's eyes are naturally drawn to the man, unaware of the fact that they once met before.
"May I sit?" asks the petite, young woman in the turquoise dress.
His look regarding the salmonless salmon-cream-cheese rolls on his plate is completely guiltless. He certainly recognizes her, the nice lady with all the scritches.
"Certainly, Miss," he says, smiling as he moves to pull a chair out for her.

This table seems to have food closest to the assortment at Hogwarts.
... which is why Albus is here only glancing at them.
Possibly.
Though he might pick up one of those treacle tarts. They're familiar.
He notices Moist along the way.
If he were more of the humourous sort, he probably would have started the conversation with a joke, something to do with their last meeting (muddied shoes, clean clothing, magic) but as he's Albus, Moist simply gets a wave.

Inara's dressed opulently, in something she'd wear to a Coreward ball. The dress is slinky in the right places, tight in others, and a pale cream color that contrasts against her skin.
And she's peering at the chocolates and the raspberry drops. She can't quite decide which she wants to try first.
Mal's at her side, wary with the knowledge she'll be dragging him off to the dance floor soon enough.
Greetings & Salutations (& All Those Other Things)themidnightsonJune 24 2010, 23:58:34 UTC
As Alice is the one who opened the doors, as her name was adjoined on the flyer by his, it is Edward who stands dutifully off to just one side of her shoulder. To her bright and flighty smile, there is a ruefully golden one about his countenance as well tonight.
They'll be greeting people, but you never known where it might take them. Alice's eye for costume or Edward's for politeness, and either may end up distracted at times, so one may get both, or one or the other, or they may inexplicably vanish into nothingness, as those silly Cullen's are wont to suddenly do.

Edward nodded to Jane Austen, who might always be 'Jane Austen' in his head, assuming his sister would probably grab her for a more personal greet, but he did extend her that first politeness.
And there was even a sort of calm, indulged smile.
It's the night and, well, Prom, itself, went well enough eventually.

Bar provided Moist with a quite elegant tuxedo that he approves of as he begins to get a shape of this large house.
The table draws his attention, because he thinks he spots one of his favorite pastries.

A friendly wave, but a wave nevertheless.
