Wishing to "help", Beloved decided to chop vegetables.

We will, for the moment, leave aside the fact I didn't ask him to, that he didn't know what I intended to cook, what vegetables I intend to use (if any) or even, really, whether the vegetables he was chopping even remotely go with each other, let alone anything else I intend to cook. *giggling madly*

The worst thing is, I didn't really even need to read the entry - all I saw was the title in my notifications and I knew it was going to be EPIC!

This reminds me of way back when I worked at a grocery store. Some of the cashiers didn't know the different fruits. They couldn't tell a Granny Smith apple from an Asian pear. And if you showed them and ugly fruit or a dragon fruit or a starfruit they'd look it funny. With the exotic fruits, they would always turn to me and ask me what it was. Then they'd ask me how I knew the names of all these.

Turns out some parents don't believe in feeding their kids fruits and vegetables.

PS, it could also be that Beloved needs glasses. I can see if he needed glass and mistook the pomegranate for a beet.

I'm not a great cook, but Beloved makes me feel so much better because I know the difference between a turnip and a pomegranate.

This story haunts me. Did he have an explanation? Leaving aside the vaste difference in colour between turnip and pomegranate, why didn't he stop when the juice came out on the first cut?
