After a couple of weeks of doing nothing but poke obsessively at Fangs (due to current bad mooseness I’m on all hands-on-deck mode in a classic obsessive need to DO ALL THE THINGS) and poke obsessively at work and occasionally poke obsessively at various other projects (which also somewhat explains my not entire presence here or on twitter which ( Read more... )

Ahh, the classic crowds vs awesome stuff clash.

Horrible clash and one that wipes me out - it becomes a question of whether the day was worth the fallout.

You forgot the mocking. Mocking as to be part of a sunburn cure

Mocking is part of any self-inflicted cure. When I got so badly burned you could see the exact outline of my bikini bow, the only reason I lived is the sheer number of people who who reminded me that I'm technically a genius.

That sounds like a wonderful day and possibly worth a trip (it'd be a lot further for me than for you, so you've really sold it!).

Snowdon Cheese come to the Christmas market round where we live and so we regularly stock up. Did they bring the ginger one and the garlic one to that festival?

It was worth it - tiring, but it was fun

They had the ginger one - wasn't one I cared for tbh, but I missed the garlic. They had a lot there though and it's one of those "no I won't sample everything!"

We have something similar in the southwest of Germany. It's called 'Plaza Culinaria' with a lot of food, some regional and some from all over the EU. Whole regions like Alsace, Bourbone or Calabria send Offizials with their regional goodies to promote their country. It's a whole weekend, also with famous Chefs doing some cooking and masses of people enjoying the show. Each year it's a must going there.

Black tea can help relieve sunburn symptoms. Throw about four tea bags into the bath tub, run water at a comfortable temperature, soak self as long as you can stand it.

Jokes optional, but encouraged.

Ah, wine and food festivals :) Basically everything you said, although since my current land of California is perpetually sunny, they do at least know that there must be awnings over everything. But it sounds like a nice day out.
