Gah, money issues SUCK. I feel your pain, lady. I remember before I moved back in with the 'rents I NEVER had any money, and it was so stressful. When I go back to school I'll be right back there again. So I know how you feel.

Just try to make it work and don't feel so bad about not being able to spend money on things. And good luck on your shoe hunt! Shoe shopping is ridiculously annoying to me too, and I always end up spending way too much because I like comfort more than anything else. Have you tried zappos.com? Free shipping both ways, and maybe you could find something on sale. The prices are pretty highish (maybe not really high but not really cheap either) but if they don't fit perfectly you can just send them back.

I went three rounds of ordering & returning shoes with Aerosoles a month or two ago. I'd go to the store, try on a pair I liked, they wouldn't have my size, I'd order my size, and it just went back to me going in to return the shoes and try again. Ef that. I'm over it.
I did order shoes online after discovering Tsubo, which I am completely and uttrely enamoured with. They're fantastic, uber comfy, and hip. (check them out!!!) I tried them on at the store and then ordered them online for half price. But I cannot shop for shoes without trying them on. Just can't. Every time I've tried, i've ended up returning them, and it's just such a hassle!!
Yeah. Craziness. Shoes.:P

Tsubo, eh? I'll look into it! Where'd you find them online for half the price?! Did you just go to the Tsubo website?

With zappos.com I feel ok about ordering shoes I haven't tried on because I know that if they don't fit I can return them for free. It's kind of a hassle to actually get to the post office and whatnot, but the shipping is free so that's cool. I guess I'm also just used to it because so few stores carry my size. If I really want shoes that fit instead of getting them a little big or a little small, I HAVE to order online and then just see if they fit.

Hello dear. I feel silly asking this, but it's something we've never really discussed. What are you going to grad school for and what kind of internship are you looking for? I have a very dear friend from high school that works for the gub-ment in DC. I just sent him a message to see if he knows of any internships in his group. I can't remember exactly what he does and the email he sent me telling me what he did is in my yahoo account, which I can't access today. I guess it's down. No guarantees, but I thought I'd give it a shot.

On another note, it sounds like you're quite busy, but good. Have you found a new roommate yet? And the ever-present question, when are you coming back up to visit? I'll let you know what I hear from my friend E.J.

Much, much, much love!!!!
