You know what I have yet to see in this fandom?

A BDSM AU, that's what. You know, where attraction is primarily based on Dom/sub rather than male/female lines, and collars are a sign of a healthy relationship.

Maybe Dan is a sub, freed from society's expectations by becoming Nite Owl or heck, maybe that's Rorschach's gig. Laurie would totes be a Dom although I can't see Manhattan as a sub, so idk how that relationship works- maybe they have normal sex by our standards, which would be kinky in their world? Veidt would be a Dom who only fucks other Doms, for sure- the Comedian, if you're into that pairing, would work nicely there.

I'm a big R/NO fan, but any/all/no pairings are fine! I just want to see this done so, so desperately.

Everyone expects Walter to want a collar. Small, weak, poor and not too bright. A pawn in everything, they take it for granted that he would be happiest on his knees if someone would only ask him. Now Daniel, good, caring Daniel who actually seemed to understand about Rorschach and his need for agency, is sitting there with a collar in his hands. It's a nice collar, to be sure.
