It takes a long time to get Rorschach cleaned up. The stuff is stickier than glue, and some has seeped through his mask to get into his hair and all in all, it's just a godawful mess. It feels like forever before they can finally quit washing and eat, Walter feeling like a hog carcass after being blasted with the high pressure hose to take off all the bristles. He still feels a bit strange, and spills more often than usual, embarrassed. Daniel just smiles and cleans up after him, and Walter is so loopy and tired that he accepts an invitation to stay the night, not even sure he can make it home. Daniel practically tucks him in like a child, and he can't even resent it, murmuring his thanks as sleep finally overtakes him ( ... )

He gets his breath back slowly. Eats, with soft, indistinct murmuring filling his head, but has to cover the plate and tuck it into the fridge for later, unable to finish. For the first time in a long time he wishes he was a drinking man. For the third time today he wishes he had that kind of disposable income. To call Daniel, he'll have to brave the hall phone. Aw, poor Walter...talk about extreme TMI with Mrs. Shairp, blech!

At least he's in the right place to get help now. Poor baby, Dan will make it all better. Or at least take your mind off of it... XD
