It sound incredibly lame! Can't you just browse the catalogue online?

Anyone can come in and browse the catalogue at the UNSW library or browse it online...

Admittedly you can't borrow unless you pay the $180 fee, but still, not being able to access the catalogue is a bit ridiculous...

They used to have free to access catalogue computers at the front of the library, but they had moved them into an obscure corner. I had to ask two librarians before I could track them down :(

I know how you feel! That's why I had to get a job there so I can still enjoy the biggest library in the southern hemisphere (or so they say) - and now I also get free printing, extended loans and document delivery :)

Let me know if you ever need something from there!

if you join up as an alumni member, you can have books, and *some* remote journal access... it's better than nothing, but still sad to have limited access to all that information!
