I disliked Arts for the very reasons you dislike sociology tutorials (incidently, although my first year sociology tutes were like you just described, my second year ones were much better. Maybe everyone had grown up somewhat).

really? is sociology that lame?
that's annoying. I'm thinking about studying either that or anthopology cos they sound interesting. Hmm.

Lies! Subterfuge! Sociology is the pits! If you wants abstract meaningless shit that everyone tries to look like they understand but even the lecturer really doesnt, then do sociology...

What a fascinating insight. I have some more to add.

Sociology students whinge at having to be at uni 10 hours a week.
Engineering students have around 30 hours a week, but only bother to show up for 10.
Sociology students frequent organic free-trade coffee shops.
Engineering students spend all day at the bar drinking beer and playing pool.
Sociology students pay 70 dollars to go see Evermore at the UniBar.
Engineering students are still powering through the beers and will have a lot better time for that hard earned coin.
Sociology students arrive at lectures with cappuccino in hand.
Engineering students arrive with 2 schooners in the belly, if they show up at all.

Engineering students win. :P
