Luis Aragonés has said that Italy will miss Andrea Pirlo when they play Spain on Sunday and joked that if anyone sees Gennaro Gattuso as their lynchpin then he is a man of the cloth.

Mmm, I agree. Now isn't the time for making cheap comments like that. It's funny, but I don't know if Gattuso can be called just a "workhorse". I've only seen him play twice, and he seemed pretty solid to me. :\

Gattuso and Pirlo are both very, very good players. I'm quite glad they're out though Italy being Italy will probably still manage to be a tough challenge. They have more than enough players able to dive for non-penalties. :P (hellooo Australia.)

I hope he's not being cocky. Both will be missed. Gattuso would be snapping at everyone's heels if he plays. And yes Andrea, of course. But they can still do without him I think. And they're still Italy..
