Aragonés: "If Gattuso Is Vital, I Am A Priest"

Jun 20, 2008 00:20

Luis Aragonés has said that Italy will miss Andrea Pirlo when they play Spain on Sunday and joked that if anyone sees Gennaro Gattuso as their lynchpin then he is a man of the cloth.

Classic Aragones. Made me giggle (and raise my eyebrow at the Sergio quotes, ts ts ts). Pirlo and Gattuso out is good, but there are still enough Italians to worry about. Many thanks for posting!

"At times he does things he should away from the game" - he must be acting up during training or something.

I'm not sure but I'm thinking he's referring to Sergio's late nights out?

eta: On the other hand that's some days old, so maybe not.

That quote about Gattuso is hilarious but it's good he only made that comment after he's definitely not playing. A bit of an arrogant and cocky remark but amusing and just a bit of banter.

Gattuso isn't one of those players that change the game, he does all the dirty work and you can see he puts a lot of heart into playing. Gattuso did a fantastic job by keeping Ronaldo quiet when United played Ac Milan last time. So i'm sure creative players like Iniesta and Xavi will be glad that he wont be chasing after them through out the match..

Ramos.. He's had a poor Euro's so far and going clubbing is not ideal so i hope he starts taking things more seriously.
