The Fremont Troll! Fremont is kind of a weird hippy-dippy place but the troll's pretty great. He even has his own street <3

Ballard and the locks are pretty cool. It's kind of a quirky neighborhood, I like to lump it in with Fremont to make FRELARD! Kind of equal parts bicycle-riding vegan hippies, and old Scandinavian fishing industry.

The Alaskan Way Viaduct has my favorite view of the city if you're driving northbound on it, but it is also literally about to fall to pieces any second. It's... part of the magic?

Capitol Hill, especially Broadway, which spacehussy kindly describes as "liberal", is "the" gay-friendly neighborhood (although honestly most of Seattle is, but the Hill also has a church with a giant rainbow flag hanging from it, so). It's also kind of a black hole of horrible douchey hipsters who'd rather be living in Portland, ymmv.

If you are a fan of oceans and nature-type things, there's like... Discovery Park, Golden Gardens, Alki Beach, ferries to the peninsula/islands... lol, I'm pretty sure there's a day tour where ( ... )
