My cat seems to be on a mission to give me a panic attack / complete meltdown. The other day, she ninja'd outside - and spent three hours out there, so I had to go tromping around looking for her at like midnight, while my over-active brain goes into 'worst case scenario' mode and by the end I'm figuring I'm going to stumble onto her dead body or

The most important thing right now is to probably make sure that her wound doesn't get infected. That might be hard, given that she's a cat and she might want to mess with it via biting/scratching, so I'd probably watch out for that. I haaate it when my pets get injured, because that's the biggest worry I have since they're both so damn fidgety and impatient.

Yeah, I've been keeping an eye on it - the area it's in doesn't lend itself well to keeping it clean or dry, or anything. It's pretty deep (at least, for the area it's in, anyway, and considering that it looks like a scrape), and probably about the size of a quarter, and it's not scabbed over in the last 4+ hours since we discovered it. As long as she doesn't get sick over the rest of the weekend, it should be fine. I think.
