I noticed that AT&T switched CEOs last week. Interesting time for new opportunities. I've had an AT&T phone forever... or at least since they bought Cingular, whenever that was. This sounds a lot like my experience with Verizon, which has really, really nice service reps who I don't think out-and-out lie, but nothing they say ever comes to pass. The auto-billing, which I had to take to get the deal I wanted, does not happen, and I only found that out when they threatened to cut off my service for non-payment. What? They broke my phone after cancelling my number and changing it to a new one without asking or telling me, then wanted me to pay to have it changed back. Restored it and somehow did it wrong so the phone would not work and they had to send a tech to figure out it was something the did at the phone messing up office. Answering machine part of phone no longer works. Cannot connect to my printer, even though it at least shows up on my Mac, but not on my Windows laptop. The bill has not once been what we agreed upon, either. Never less, of course. Between Verizon and Dell, who has the customer service from hell, I am so put off that I tend to use my ipad mini a lot more now. It at least works ( ... )
