You're still coming over on the weekend of 11-13 May, right? Can't wait to see you again, sis. We can spend a lazy evening on the sofa having a Sherlock marathon on my HD TV, if you feel like doing that (no drinking games this time, I promise!) and maybe go to Lugano on Saturday, like we did last time.

I'd love to come back to GE in June, but it's a pretty busy month: school until the 10th, a trade fair in Cologne just afterwards and another one in Friedrichshafen at the end of the month. All work and no fun, as usual, sigh! :(

I'll try to write on LJ more often, promise. I'm so stressed out that I guess another day off is in order, so I guess I'll pop back here sooner rather than later. At least I'm making good use of the Sherlock podfic you gave me last time. They're absolutely fantastic and I'm having a great time listening to them! Thank you! :)

NC-17 fanfics always make life better. Never tried listening to one in podcast though. It could be interesting... XD

I definitely recommend Sherlock podfic! Many stories are amazingly well-written. You should give it a go. :)

Of course! This podfic site is quite good: http://www.audiofic.jinjurly.com/category/television-fandoms-live-action/sherlock-bbc

I've linked you directly to the Sherlock BBC pages, but if you go back to the homepage, you'll find many more fandoms that may be of your interest. Enjoy! :)

Of course we remember you! Gah, your days sound much worse than my busiest weeks at school, but I understand. Hopefully things will settle down soon and you will feel better *hands cup of lime blossom tea, rooibos or the decaf drink of your choice*

We have to swap Sherlock fic recs! I didn't read any fic between series 1 and 2, but I've been reading so much since Reichenbach it's crazy. I'm mostly reading whatever other friends rec because the fandom is huge (and I bet there are lots of badfic and awful characterization), and I'm loving most things so far. It's such a talented fandom, don't you think?

(never listened to podfic, though, and I haven't listened to Cabin Pressure yet because I have a short attention span and I tend to get distracted while listening to anything)

Anyway, this was LONG. Take care!

*hugs*

The Sherlock fandom is so huge and full of talented writers that I can barely keep up with all the good fics! I've read some great ones and memorized a few, although most of them are post-Reichenbach and pretty sad (angsty and H/C above all). It's difficult to write fluffy fics when you have actors that can pull off angst so well and give their characters so much intensity, don't you think? I've tried writing something myself, but I can't seem to be able to pin down their voices, so I guess my WIP will remain unfinished for a little while, until I've studied their voices better.

I strongly recommend Cabin Pressure! It's an amazingly funny radio sitcom (for lack of a better word) which only has 19 episodes so far and is quite easy to follow. There are only 4 characters and all of them talk really well (plus, Ben's character is hilarious). Every episode only lasts 28 minutes, so I'd recommend to try and give it a go, if you can. I'm sure you won't be disappointed!
