That could have changed very little. You found the designs for Wing Zero somewhere; you might not have been the first.
What bothers me is that the Katalon fighters said to not attack it, and that it was allied with them. That means at some point Heero wasn't driven to madness while piloting it. That doesn't add up...
That was extremely unlikely. Besides the scientist who made Sandrock, no one else had access to that lab but me. I think OZ may have gotten a hold of Wing Zero and copied the program from it.
The program has to be activated first, since it doesn't start up with the rest of the mobile suit's systems. I'm willing to bet Heero didn't have it running until just before he started to attack his allies.
There's no use questioning people like A-LAWS. There's no method to their madness, really... they're just completely batshit and think they can crush the world under their iron heel. That's all there is to it.
But there can't be that many people who would blindly follow orders enough to destroy civilians! I know that there are people out there who wouldn't think twice about killing lots of innocent people, I just have to look at OZ or several other groups to be reminded. But still! The A-LAWS were set up to protect the people, not destroy them.
Shinji making sense?! Blasphemy!a_young_legendOctober 21 2009, 05:13:41 UTC
Quatre, c'mon. How can you say something like that? A-LAWS couldn't organize a massacre like what we saw with just one or two nutjobs. There really are that many people involved. You said it yourself - A-LAWS, the Titans, OZ... think about how much manpower it takes to run those organizations. It's not only the bastards who are pulling the trigger, either. It's the higher-ups, the ones who sit by and let it all happen.
It's a crock. I don't think A-LAWS ever wanted to protect the people.
I guess I say that...because I want to believe in people. Even after all that I've gone through, I still have hope that there is still good in people and that they want to do the right thing. That they won't just blindly follow orders from the people holding the reigns of the organizations.
I think the idea behind the A-LAWS was sound, but the wrong people were put in charge and they twisted it to be what it is today.
Heero was definitely using the Zero System, using the Freedom AND in my "Berserk" state I was barely able to hold my own against him. He was also nuttier than you were. He basically came to the conclusion that everyone who fought at all was his enemy.
At least you managed to come back in one piece. When I was reading about the mission, I was half afraid that I was going to find out you'd been blown up a second time by ZERO.
And I'm not really surprised that Heero's reaction to ZERO was more extreme than mine. He's a lot more focused about fighting and what he considers to be his missions that I am.
No... I am not entirely certain who brought it back, but I have a few guesses.
In any case, I do not trust that thing at all. We can't have an ally using the ZERO System, its been proven time and time again that they very quickly become a danger to everyone around them.
Also, the power of that mobile suit is incredible. It physically damaged the Freedom, THROUGH its phase armor. I don't like this, I don't like this at all.
Might as well blame the company that built the parts in the ZERO system. You did what you did for reason that made sense to you, and you can't blame someone for that.

I've come to terms that I did make that system and what's done is done. I just wish that I had destroyed it when I had the chance.
