There's no use questioning people like A-LAWS. There's no method to their madness, really... they're just completely batshit and think they can crush the world under their iron heel. That's all there is to it.

But there can't be that many people who would blindly follow orders enough to destroy civilians! I know that there are people out there who wouldn't think twice about killing lots of innocent people, I just have to look at OZ or several other groups to be reminded. But still! The A-LAWS were set up to protect the people, not destroy them.

Shinji making sense?! Blasphemy! a_young_legend October 21 2009, 05:13:41 UTC
Quatre, c'mon. How can you say something like that? A-LAWS couldn't organize a massacre like what we saw with just one or two nutjobs. There really are that many people involved. You said it yourself - A-LAWS, the Titans, OZ... think about how much manpower it takes to run those organizations. It's not only the bastards who are pulling the trigger, either. It's the higher-ups, the ones who sit by and let it all happen.

It's a crock. I don't think A-LAWS ever wanted to protect the people.

No... they just wanted to control them.

I guess I say that...because I want to believe in people. Even after all that I've gone through, I still have hope that there is still good in people and that they want to do the right thing. That they won't just blindly follow orders from the people holding the reigns of the organizations.

I think the idea behind the A-LAWS was sound, but the wrong people were put in charge and they twisted it to be what it is today.

It's good that you can believe in people, and I don't think you should ever lose that part of yourself. But there are some people who are simply... beyond belief, and beyond saving. At this point, A-LAWS are no better than terrorists, who could hardly be considered people at all.

I know. If I didn't think that some people couldn't be saved, I wouldn't be here fighting in the first place.

*tries to lighten the mood with some teasing*

You might want to watch what you say. A good amount of the pilots here were once considered to be terrorists before they joined the GDF. Myself included.
