Well, thanks to a month of incredibly miserable weather during which I seem to have spent the majority of time laying about sick with colds, I managed to read sixteen books this month. Sixteen! I doubt I'll be doing that again this year, but it's a nice start ( Read more... )

I'm good at leading people into temptation.

that's a great amount of books.

I need to get a move on with the heroes of olympus books but I honest didn't care all that much for #1 so reading the rest keeps slipping my mind

I enjoy the Jackson books, although if you didn't like the first I'm not sure you would enjoy the rest, since they're all pretty similar.

And, yes, you *are* good at leading people into temptation! LOL

It wasn't that I hate it but I wasn't as interested as I was in the first series.

Oh and I do apologize for the emails you'll get with me as a goodreads friend (unless you've turned that off. Can you turn that off) where it shows you what we've read. I tend to put my name in for a lot of the goodreads giveaways which of course then gets emailed to my friends (eye roll)

Oh, I misread your comment on the Jackson book - the price of being half in a stupor with cold meds. I thought you were talking about the first book in the first series. The second book, which is about Percy and his quest with the Romans, is probably my favorite book in both series, so I really recommend it.

That's okay. I'd like to put in for giveaways, too, if I knew how. LOL

I get distracted listening to audiobooks too. I don't know how, since I am usually doing exciting things like laundry or taking a walk, but there you go.

I think it's that when you're sitting and reading a book, for the most part your mind it totally on the words and the story. With audiobooks, your concentration is too fragmented with whatever task you're performing. At least it is for me. I think from now on I'll stick to listening to my workout music or plugging into the tv audio at the gym.
