Books read January, 2014
Well, thanks to a month of incredibly miserable weather during which I seem to have spent the majority of time laying about sick with colds, I managed to read sixteen books this month. Sixteen! I doubt I'll be doing that again this year, but it's a nice start.
The majority of the reads were rereads of the Percy Jackson books so I could read the newest book in the series, The House of Hades, which I really enjoyed. I had listened to the previous books in the Heroes of Olympus series while working out at the gym, and, quite honestly, hardly remembered anything that happened in them. Apparently I'm too distracted while working out to actually retain anything from an audiobook.
I started out the year with having no real reading goals, but then fell into both the Reading Bingo Challenge and the Goodreads 50 Book Challenge (thanks to
cornerofmadness [shakes tiny, impotent fist in her direction]), so I'm doing that. And I do want to include more nonfiction and classics, so we'll see how that goes.
