The In-Between Time

So, the bacchanal known as Christmas is over, and the bacchanal known as New Year's Eve is on the horizon. I have no NYE plans other than staying home, having some snacks and maybe a glass or two of wine, and doing what I usually do - watch tv and play games on my computer/tablet. I actually prefer that. Isn't it fun to give a gift someone really enjoys? I think I like that better than getting stuff. Especially Don's mom's gifts. Unless I enthuse far more than my nature is comfortable with she's convinced I don't like it.

I love candlelight Christmas Eve services. What a wonderful time to join a church. All around sounds like a neat Christmas! :)

Oh, I really enjoyed as she opened each present in turn - first the charger (had no idea what the hell it was! LOL), then the cover, and her face started to light up when she realized what it was, and then the Paperwhite. Her face just beamed! It was so much fun! :-)

My sister-in-law almost started crying during the service where they were being taken into the church. It was really lovely.

Thanks. I was showing her how to use it, and it's pretty hysterical. She's a total noob when it comes to electronic devices, and she acts like it'll shatter like spun sugar if she presses on the touch screen too hard. LOL
