So, my bad little cat was MIA again when I got up this morning, but he showed up right on time, and I scooped him up and got him into the carrier with a minimum of fuss. However, after I got him into the carrier with a minimum of fuss, we had fuss. Lots and lots of fuss. Honestly, the way he was crying and slamming himself about you would have ( Read more... )

That is great news. Too bad that your boys won't tolerate adding him to your indoor cats.

Yeah, as much as I try to get them to tolerate him, they just refuse to accept him. :-(

Yeah, me too. I'm just really glad he's healthy, too. And for all that he's technically ferile, he's turned into a very sweet, loving kitty.

Thanks! I've been a nervous wreck about this for the entire week, so I'm glad it went so well - aside from the horrifying screams from Neme. LOL

Yay! This is good news, all of it.
Hang in there, eventually your two other boys will accept him.
Maybe you could keep something with his scent on it into the house from time to time?

I'm hoping that his scent coming in through the open kitchen window will accomplish that. It hasn't so far, but it may help.

I dunno, maybe they need to associate his scent with one belonging in the house rather than that of an intruder and possible threat outside the house, something they need to defend their territory from?

Well, they're more afraid of him than anything else. We'll just see how the summer goes. Maybe being closer with the open doors and windows will help some.

Congratulations on a successful visit. And good news that he's in excellent health.

I'd also suggest keeping something with his scent around the other two boys and see if they get used to him.

I'm hoping that since the weather is beginning to (slowly) warm up, that his scent coming in through the open door and window will help. It hasn't so far, but I live in hope. :-)
