I am carless

Dec 09, 2009 09:42

I am sans car this morning as I had to drop it off at the shop for oil change, state inspection, and to check out the faulty gear shift light. It doesn't come on when I first turn on the lights, but after a couple minutes, it does. There may be a short. Also, it turns out, there was a recall for... blah, blah, blah whatever it was, that I didn't ( Read more... )

I love recall notices. The Honda dealer will pay for a rental replacement car if there is a recall notice, no matter what for. I've used that to my advantage several times when I had other major work going on at the same time.

Oh, that is nice. I don't know if my dealer offers that or not since I work so close to it I wouldn't need a rental car unless they had to keep the car overnight for some reason.

I was watching Biggest Loser as I read your post, so I couldn't click through until I finished. But I knew when you said you were happy with both winners, that Tracey the Crazy must have lost. For once, I was happy to be spoiled (although it wasn't a spoiler - no accusations! I just knew because we'd talked about her before).

I worry about Danny. He seems very vulnerable emotionally. One thing that pissed me off was the way he blathered on about Rudy being his biggest inspiration and greatest friend the house. What was Liz, chopped liver?

Hee, yeah, I guess that would be a semi-spoiler. I am *not* a member of the crazy Tracy fan club. Oy.

I was thinking the same thing about Danny's comment. I'm trying to put it down to nerves and excitement and trying to make Rudy feel better because he lost, but, yeah, that comment sucked.

I'm so glad that Megan and Cheyne beat the douchebag McWhiney brothers. Megan and Cheyne weren't perfect (or even all that interesting) but they were inoffensive enough and, heck, Megan rocked it with a great deal of athleticism. No one carried her (in fact it was often the exact reverse). So I'm happy with their win. They earned it.

Yeah, they were just the kind of couple that played well and deserved the win. I was a little worried for them at the beginning of the leg, but, boy, they just powered their way through, just as they normally do. I thought for a while that Brian and Ericka would bring off the surprise win, but, unsurprisingly, she had a complete meltdown when things went their way. I don't feel bad about their third place win. I don't really think they should have even been in the finale.

Ericka's meltdown was painful (seriously, she hurt my ears). Brian must have the patience of a saint.

Seriously! Her people don't like him because he's white? They should be getting on their knees and thanking Jesus every day that Ericka found someone who can put up with her and her Princess ways! LOL

Damn. Having my service place be in walking distance of my work would be a godsend. No wonder you're upset about the move.

Yeah. When I had my Ford, it was the same way. But then the dealership went out of business when the owner decided to retire. Now I have the Hyundai, and a great service department, and they're moving. *weeps*
