So I had a thought..

Yes, I have them every once in a while. Shut up. ;-)

Anyway, I'm sure most SGA fans have heard about the latest wank staring Brad Wright. If not, the gist of it is he was once again opened his mouth and firmly shoved his foot into it by taking umbrage at a comment made here by Maureen Ryan in a review to V. To wit: "And the other notable fall ( Read more... )

anytime I hear something negative about SGU and Brad Wright, I get a huge smile on my face :D

He's a jackass. I hope SGU is cancelled.

Thanks for the links, I'm going to be up reading for a while.

And isn't the Steeler game fun?!

I knew that Mallozzi was an ass from reading his blog, but the level of idiocy coming from Wright never ceases to amaze me.

I'm totally enjoying the game. Now if they just keep it going these last two minutes, and don't give the damned ball away again at the goal line! *wince*

oh, boy, they got a break there...thank goodness there's only 1:35 left, lol

Joe M is becoming more and more insulting and defensive...I think there's trouble brewing for SGU (or at least, I hope so!)

AND ANOTHER INTERCEPTION!!!! And that's the game. :-D

I hope that SGU goes down, too. They deliberately sabotaged SGA so they could have this "dark, gown-up show", and it's complete tripe.

I don't watch any of the Stargate's, but I read the blog post you linked to and, yeah, he's a jackass. He needs to take a few lessons in responding to criticism from Joss - a little self-deprecating humor goes a long way, dude.

And I remember I was right there with you on the Donna dread - and she is also now my favorite companion. :-)

Well, the good lord knows that Joss got and gets enough criticism, so the fact that he takes it and keeps his fans makes me continue in the Joss's Bitch league. As evidenced by my continued watching of Dollhouse.

And now I'm really jonesing for a rewatch of S3 and Doctor!Donna. :-D

I *wanted* to like SGU, if only because everybody seemed predisposed to dislike it so much. But after something puts me to sleep 3 times in a row, I give up. I can't tell any of the characters apart, I can't abide Lou Diamond Phillips and his cheeks, and there seemed to be a lot of running around doing incomprehensible things in the dark. Bah. No more. And if it's as skeevy as everyone says (really, I slept through those parts) all the more reason not to watch. My tolerance for shows that either torture the women or turn them into parodies of themselves is nonexistent these days...

Well, I haven't watched enough of it to actually say how badly they treat the women, but I knew in the pilot that I was not going to be able to stomach Chloe. She was totally useless, and I just had a feeling she was going to be the love interest of Scott. Which apparently she now is. And frankly, as far as I could tell, that's all the character's good for.

And, yeah, I really don't like it when producers think that 'dark' means, you know, no lighting rather than a deep and complicated plot.

It just made him look like an even bigger ass, didn't it? I admit, I smirked...hard. LOL

I saw that wank, and read bits and pieces of it. I have to admit that Tyson is watching it, and so am I just by virtue of being in the same room as him. We've both commented that it's a rip-off of BSG, and I don't really like any of the female characters. Honestly, other than Eli, I don't much like the male characters either. There are hints of some really interesting ideas, but they aren't coming to fruition.

IMHO, SGU looks a lot like a few teenage boys playing GI Joe with their actions figures.

Well, since the demographic they were going after were boys and young men, that's probably about right. ;-)
