You know, I've been assuming that Hermione bespelled her parents without their consent, but on further thought, I'm betting they are practical enough that they'd have suggested it on their own, or at least planned it out with her. I wish we'd gotten to see more of the Granger family, because they seem like people I'd identify with....

Wasn't it just fantastic? I agree with you--it's the first series I've read in I don't know how long where the ending hasn't been a huge letdown. It pulled everything together well, and while it's not perfect, it pushed all the right buttons and did all the right things and was just amazing.

I'm obsessed, I read it once Saturday and once Sunday. I agree, I felt like she wrapped everything up. Even though it's bittersweet, I didn't feel robbed of any details.

I saw an interview where Rowling stated that Ron and Harry are now Aurors, but as that isn't included in the book, it just doesn't count to me. And it took me 2 reads to realize that Victoire must be Bill and Fleur's daughter. And I loved that the only child named after Snape (Albus Severus) inherited Lily's eyes.

I loved the whole thing. I was a big weepy mess.

HOMG, I cried when Dobby died. I'd always found him kind of annoying, but useful. I was surprised when the page started blurring.

That was my most emotional moment in the book until Harry started his walk into the forest.

When they put a hat, scarves and socks on him I had to put the book down and walk away for a goo 10 minutes.
