I went with my housemates to see Little Miss Sunshine tonight. I really liked it - it managed to be a slightly fluffy comedy while also having something useful and practical to say, which immediately put it half a head in front of most of the other stuff out at the moment, and also, omg Steve Carrell is love.

I really have to wonder what's wrong with me that I didn't like this movie at all. Absolutely everyone else I know who's seen it loved it.

Huh, that is a little strange. Though artistic appreciation can be a weird thing, and it's highly possible there's mass bias due to extreme love of Steve Carrell going on. :)

There is indeed a Shooting Fish slash comm, which does indeed mean Dan Futterman getting it on with the guy who was going to be Aragorn in Lord of the Rings until they got Viggo Mortensen. It is very small though, sadly. Which is a shame, cause the film is so cute and so very sweetly gay in, er, a kind of messed up way but it's really good and so therefore you should clearly join. :D
