... in which the universal's here

I just randomly googled "Stephen Fry" (... I know, my only excuse is chronic procrastination), and I happened to notice that in the bit where it usually links you to dictionary.com, it actually said it had a definition! And so I found this. I didn't know Google did that. Cool. (I wonder how they choose which search terms get linked to answers.com ( Read more... )

I didn't know about the recent comments thing, either. Dude, it makes things so much easier!

And dude - that must be so yukky to hear your friend saying that about Archie. I felt the same way too!!! *waiiilllsss*

Doesn't it? :)

And gah, I really felt that some warning was needed, so I've been doing my best without actually saying "the boy dies horribly, you'd better get ready for it", but... waaaaah. Archie.

(Also, yay for your icon. Damn right. Heh.)

Oh my god yes! Norrell was the biggest dick and I don't think he redeemed himself nearly enough, what with the ruination of Jonathan and his book, and isn't Jonathan just the best! And the whole bit at the end with Arabella, and every single thing that happened in Venice which was perfect and such fun to read. And bottled madness! How brilliant! And the wars!

... yet another thing for us to geek madly about when we meet. *adds it to the list*

Norrell was SUCH A BASTARD! Grrr! I did forgive him at the end, though, because while it didn't make up for his being such an arse, he did at least do what he could. Jonathan is a snarky geekmeister, and I adore him - oh, oh, the bit where Arabella finds out what Jonathan said about her. I almost cried. They're both wonderful, and they both get each other... it's adorable. (Norrell, though, blatantly has a crush on Jonathan. Dude.) And bottled madness and the canal and the King's Roads and THE ENDING OH MY HOLY FREAKING DEITY... it is ridiculously cool on an epic scale.

When we meet up, it is definitely on the agenda. :D

Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell is a brilliant book, hands down, so it's always nice to see that it's being read :-)

Jesus, how did no one tell me about the recent comments section?

I am even slower than you.

As for spoilers, therealjae knows that she's killing me because she's still one season and a movie away from the end of Homicide, and she keeps saying things that are just tempting me to blow her mind with what's going to happen.

But break, my heart, for I must hold my tongue.
