... in which Katie is practical

I've been making lists of the things I'm going to take with me when I move continents. (SQUEE! *ahem*) It's very cool - for some reason I love making lists, even if I'm very bad at actually using them in a productive manner most of the time - but ever so slightly intimidating. Twenty kilograms of stuff suddenly starts seeming very little indeed ( Read more... )

Though I'm afraid Gemma's got first dibs on my Sandman collection

Damnit! I was going to ask for that! I've taken my first, shakey steps into the world of comic book geekery, starting with Ultimate X-men to allow a fellow slasher someone this side of the atlantic to squee with. I was promptly informed by my Comic Superiors (during my first ever visit to a comic shop that involved me buying something) that I ought to read Sandman if I am to read anything at all. And thus, in my impoverished state, I am searching for copies to borrow.

And you have to go and give them to that jumped-up little crack whore.

Oh well, I shall just have to steal them from her I suppose!

I would like to request to be lent any good books you think I ought read, including any M&C post the third book that aren't going with you, any Stephen Fry books and possible Ben Elton, as I hear he's good but have never read anything by him. I haven't read anything by Neil Gaiman other than Smoke and Mirrors either, come to think of it. Oh and if you have a copy of Good ( ... )

Dude, she's read the first few, so you can certainly have those, and then nab the rest when she's not looking. :) The people are right to say you should read Sandman - it's way more like a novel, and a fab one, than any other comic I've ever read- and I'd hate to impede your enjoyment of such Neil-y goodness. :)

I have *thinks* five or six M&Cs that aren't going with me, so those can be yours no prob! Stephen Fry and Ben Elton too, and I have two copies of GO so you can just plain have one, dearie. :)

And YES OMG YOU MUST VISIT ME OMG OMG OMG YAY!! *ahem* *bounce* *love*

Thank you a million times over for letting me borrow such a huge amount of your stuff. I already love you forever *loves forever*.

Apparently I'm not allowed to view your links for Potter fans. Are you being frustrating on purpose? Looks like I have no excuse for not going back to the library...

That's very evil! They're just LJ pages, so they ought to... maybe LJ was being evil. Or maybe there's a scary consipiracy at work 'cause if you read them you'll work out the Heart of It All... *twilight zone*

Oh, is this one of those theories about Lily's eyes and Harry's scar and Gryffindor's sword and how they all relate to Grindelwald's pet Runespoor having a cruush on Snape?

I can think of nothing intelligent to say (as my internet cafe ime is short) so I shall just say, yay lists. Even if you don't stick to them... :)
