... in which Katie is practical

I've been making lists of the things I'm going to take with me when I move continents. (SQUEE! *ahem*) It's very cool - for some reason I love making lists, even if I'm very bad at actually using them in a productive manner most of the time - but ever so slightly intimidating. Twenty kilograms of stuff suddenly starts seeming very little indeed.

Though I suppose it does at least give me a good excuse to sort stuff out and throw things away, something which anyone who's ever seen my room will be able to certify is very, very necessary. Heh. Also, I figured that since I won't be using a whole load of stuff for a year, I might as well lend some of it out to people who'll appreciate it. Ask away if you want to nab anything. (Though I'm afraid Gemma's got first dibs on my Sandman collection. Heh.)

Oh, and my gran has officially said she'll pay for, well, quite a bit more than was previously the case. Which is. Um. Crazy. But good. Yes.

Other things:

- Go and read Respectful of Otters. Seriously. How I've neglected to pimp this blog before I don't know, but I'm making up for it now. Go. There are few things in the world this worth reading.

- I love Neil. He's so lovely. And interesting. And I want to go to Fiddler's Green, dangit. (If only for their guest list. Grown in a Petrie dish as the result of a bet between Howard Florey and Alexander Fleming, indeed. Heeeeeee.)

- Those of you who don't already read Angua's journal, I will just say to read this. If you're a Potter fan as well, then you should really read this and this too.

- I've apparently signed up to drive the Blakes7 crack_van for August. Um.

Oh yeah, and I should also warn you that I just might have been writing some things recently. They may not appear for a few days, me being me, but appear they shall, so you deserve the time to prepare yourselves and so on and so forth. You can stock up on tinned food and things. (This will certainly be necessary when you discover that some of what I've been writing just might have been Have I Got News For You fic. Ahem.)

This post comes to you courtesy of Katie's Superman pyjamas, which are just the best things in the world ever. So there. Also, may contain traces of nuts. Not suitable for vegetarians.
