What design do you think Gen has for his private seal? I'm thinking maybe the outline of the Sacred Mountain somewhere in there?

It would be cool if he used some Eddisian imagery. And earrings, of course! I was wondering why Costis had bling all of a sudden...

Costis =/= bling! We should have guessed it was something to do with Gen from the very first, given his long-standing love of (other people's) earrings!

I knew something was going on with that earring, but couldn't think of what. Of course... it would be Gen related. Because earrings!

I did actually see this coming. (Not the seal, specifically, but the fact of the earring being something to do with Gen.)

And now it makes me wonder about Sophos's earring in ACoK. Wasn't one of his options onyx? And doesn't Kamet describe the gem in the earring Costis is wearing as black and semi-precious?

Black and semi-precious--I immediately thought of the obsidian from the temple where Hamiathes's Gift was waiting.

I thought it was a seal, like the animal when reading this book. In the earlier books I think I thought it was the dolphin ring he got in maze in The Theif.

Maybe it is a picture of a hand?
