When you leave on your own... you still feel bad for leaving people behind. If Clef never realizes it then GOOD. He doesn't need any more burdens. But I know how I felt about it and how he might well feel, if he returns.

How can someone forget everything that happens in this City and yet still feel badly for those left behind? They wouldn't know anyone had been left behind.
If he returns... then he might feel badly about it. Assuming of course his memories return with him... and he doesn't have other worries that are more pressing.
