DINING AREA soul_mods April 16 2010, 01:46:39 UTC
[The dining area is spread all around the ballroom. The tables each seat 8 people, and are circular. There are more than enough tables for everyone. Feel free to sit where you like!]

[at one of the tables, munching away. One might assume that he's people-watching, except for the fact that this guy's eyes are closed]

[Matilda, as ever, had grown curious and eventually wandered off from the others. She was looking for some familiar faces when she noticed Hirohiko. Was that guy sleeping? No, when she got a little closer she could see that he was eating something]

Hello.

[Her voice was very quiet, almost inaudible over the sounds of others speaking around them]

[he can be stripped of his weapons and his powers, but nothing can take heightened senses away! Inclining his head in the direction of her voice, he offers a smile]

Hello. Would this lovely young lady like a seat?

BUFFET AREA soul_mods April 16 2010, 01:48:00 UTC
[If you're hungry, this is where you're going to want to go. The buffet is split up into appetizers, entrees, desserts, and a bar at one end for drinks of all kinds. If you're under 21, though, good luck trying to get your hands on any alcohol.]

Ash had stepped in awkwardly at first, not to sure what he was supposed to do. The last ball he'd been at he'd spent the entire time on a stage watching everyone else and trying not to fall asleep. For now he balanced on his heels, moving his loose hair away from his face before deciding that first thing came first. He wasn't going to let the buffet pass him by this time!

With a slight rush he pushed around a few people and made it to the table. He picked up a plate and pretty much began to help himself.

Laura made her way over to the buffet area soon after her dancing lesson with her Meister - the girl tripped daintily along, with one eye on her feet and another on the crowd. She was rather hungry...

...Was that Ash over there? He looked very different with those clothes. The girl approached him.

"Ash."

He had already piled up a nice portion onto a plate, he would have to make a second trip to get something to drink but that wasn't really a problem at the moment.

"Huh?" Ash turned around and spotted the familiar girl. The dress seemed a little distracting for some reason so his greeting was a delayed a moment or two, "Hey, Laura."

[Get ready to move! If you feel like taking a twirl around the dance floor, then don't wait--grab a partner and hurry on out!]

[In the center of the dance floor, Kid is lying face first on the ground, a splatter of blood near his face. If someone's feeling nice, they can help him up. Otherwise, he'll wake up eventually.

We hope.]

[This is Canada. Canada is a very nice country, Kid. Canada feels that people should be left bleeding on the floor so he will spot you, flail a little and try to see if you're alright.]

H-Hello? Are you okay? Can you hear me?

BALCONY soul_mods April 16 2010, 01:49:43 UTC
[A quiet respite from the music and activity of the room, feel free to step outside for a bit of fresh air. Don't stay out there too long though--the fun's all inside!]

Yoko avoided the crowds as she maneuvered her way to the balcony. In the end, she decided to go to the dance much to Alfred's begging. Now here she was, dressed up in a crimson evening gown and her hair pinned up in curls on top of her head.

She leaned against the railing, sighing to herself as she glanced behind her at the party then back to the city.

Normally Namatame wouldn't have come. He had doubts about celebrating a victory he had never taken part in, and even more about whether he would have been welcomed here by a few of those who did deserve to attend. He wasn't much good at parties, either. He could smile, bow, shake hands and converse for a while, but it never felt completely natural when he did it. Misuzu had always been the more socially graceful of the two of them.

It had taken him right up until the last minute to decide that he would go (he'd actually come late, because of the time it took to find a reasonable suit)--not for his sake, but for Mayumi's. Even if Namatame hadn't managed to find her killer himself, the killer had been found and stopped by others. That would have been what she wanted.

He missed her, seeing all the people bustling around inside. Mayumi's presence would have brightened the night threefold--but she wasn't there and would never be, even in a city named for death.

Yoko was drifting off as she stared out at the city before the door opened behind her and she turned to see someone she didn't recognize enter the balcony area too. She blinked a few times; he looked just as awkward as she was with this party. Yoko turned away, keeping her eyes on the city as she remained quite for a short moment.

Finally, Yoko spoke up," Some place huh? This is pretty different compared to where I'm from."
