The Shibusen ballroom is a large space, filled with the typical tables surrounding a wooden dance floor. On one side, large glass doors open up onto a balcony that overlooks the city. While outside, the building still showed signs of the recent battle, the inside was lushly decorated. Smooth black tablecloths adorned every surface, and large crystal chandeliers were suspended from the ceiling. All the china was pure white porcelain, and every bit of silverware was shining. The large room had a quiet elegance about it, because as much as this was a celebration, it was also an apology, and a remembrance for the allies that were lost.
The dance floor was in the center, a live band just about ready to start playing positioned at the end of it. Against one of the walls was a buffet, piled high with all kinds of fresh food--all of which smelled rather delicious. (And, of course, the desserts at the far end of the buffet need to be pointed out. They're all delicate and obviously sweet, just calling your name.) Across from the dance floor, past multiple dining tables, is the entrance: large white double-doors that made every entrance an important one.
Upon arrival, the guests are told to choose any seat they like and feel free to help themselves to the food and drink, or take to the dance floor. Just remember: Lord Shinigami will be making a speech an hour or two into the party, so please stay at least until the announcement is over. Other than that, we invite you to relax and enjoy yourselves--you all deserve it.
